Gigantspinosaurus (meaning "giant-spined lizard") is a mediun-sizedstegosaur from theUpper Jurassic. It was found inSichuan,China. It was only about 4.2 metres (14 ft) long and 700 kilograms (1,500 lb) in weight. The animal had greatly enlarged shoulder spines.
A study suggested thatGigantspinosaurus is the most basal known member of the Stegosauria.[1][2]
