George Enescu

George Enescu (August 19, 1881, Liveni – May 4, 1955,Paris) was aRomaniancomposer.[1] He was born inLiveni,Romania. He studied theviolin at theVienna Conservatory. He moved to Paris in 1895 to studycomposition at theParis Conservatoire withJules Massenet and thenGabriel Fauré. Other students at this time wereMaurice Ravel andCharles Koechlin.

In 1927 he taught the violin toYehudi Menuhin.
