Gary Douglas Kurtz (July 27, 1940 – September 23, 2018) was anAmericanmovie producer. He is known for helping produce the moviesAmerican Graffiti (1973),Star Wars (1977),The Empire Strikes Back (1980),The Dark Crystal (1982) andReturn to Oz (1985).
Kurtz was born inLos Angeles,California. He was twicedivorced. He had three children. He later married Clare Gabriel in 2003.
Kurt died ofcancer inNorth London,England, at the age of 78.[1][2]
