Futurepop is a type ofelectronic dance music which uses influences from the genresynthpop (likesong structure andvocal style),uplifting trance (grandiose andarpeggiatedsynthesizer melodies), andEBM. The name was created byRonan Harris (ofVNV Nation) andStephan Groth (ofApoptygma Berzerk) while trying to describe the style of music their bands produced.[1]
