Flash Thompson, whose real name is Eugene, is ahigh schoolfootball player and abully. Flash both insults and beats upPeter Parker. Peter gets bitten by aradioactivespider and gets its powers. Peter secretly uses his powers tofightcriminals by becoming thesuperheroSpider-Man. Flash Thompson then becomes obsessed withSpider-Man and thinks he's great.
Eventually,Peter Parkerfights Flash Thompson and beats him. After that Flash only insults Peter. Flash goes back to beating Peter up when he and Peter both like the same girl. Flash makes sure that hisfriends are with him to stop Peter from fighting back. After leavinghigh school Flash andPeter Parker stillhate each other but both get along withHarry Osborn who becomes Peter'sbest friend. Flash later leaves thecountry tofight in theVietnam War. When Flash comes back fromVietnam, he is disturbed by everything that happened there. Flash starts to drinkalcohol to forget what happened and all of Flash's friends leave him, because he fought inVietnam, except forPeter Parker. Flash and Peter become goodfriends after that.

Flash attacks Peter in front of alocker and Peterfights back and beats Flash.Uncle Ben tells Peter "that Flash kid probably deserved what was coming to him. But just because you could beat him up doesn't mean you should have. What I'm trying to say is " with great power, comes great responsibility."

He verballybullies Peter but never actuallyfights him. In the 2019sequelSpider-Man: Far From Home, Flash thinksSpider-Man is great but is mean toPeter Parker. In 2021'sSpider-Man: No Way Home, everyone finds out Spider-Man’ssecret identity so Flash writes abook saying he and Peter are best friends.
