Fire (real nameBeatriz "Bea" Bonilla da Costa), previously known asGreen Fury andGreen Flame, is a comic book superheroine appearing in publications byDC Comics. The character was created byRamona Fradon and the lateE. Nelson Bridwell, and first appeared inSuper Friends #25 in October of 1979.
She is a Brazilian super model turned government agent turned superhero after an accident granted her the ability to generate green flames. Originally created for theSuper Friends comic book, she was introduced into mainstream continuity after theCrisis on Infinite Earths. She has been a member of theGlobal Guardians,Justice League International,Super Buddies andCheckmate.
Michelle Hurd played Fire in the 1997 pilot movieJustice League of America.Natalie Morales went by the name "Green Fury" in an episode of the 2017 seriesPowerless.
