TheEricales are a large and diverseorder ofdicotyledons, including for exampleazalea (Rhododendron),blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus),grass tree (Dracophyllum),lúcuma (Pouteria lucuma),kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa), andtea (Camellia sinensis). The order includestrees andbushes,lianas andherbaceous plants.

Many species have five petals, fused together. This was used to place the order in the subclass Sympetalae.^[1]

Mycorrhiza is often found in Ericales.
