Edward Joseph Perkins (June 8, 1928 – November 7, 2020) was anAmericandiplomat. He served as U.S. Ambassador toLiberia,South Africa, andthe United Nations 1992-1993.[1] He was later Director of theUS State Department's Diplomatic Corps.
Perkins died on November 7, 2020 at a hospital inWashington, D.C. from astroke at the age of 92.[2]
