A dosimeter

Adosimeter is atool that can measure differentlevels ofhazardousenvironments. Common dosimeters are those used forsound (They measure how loud a certainnoise is) andradiation (they measure how much radiation there is in an environment).

There are many uses for dosimeters. For example, workers innuclear power plants use them to track their radiation exposure.Doctors, especially ones usingX-rays, use them too.
