Dil Se (Hindi:दिल से,Urdu:دل سے,translation:From the Heart) is a 1998Hindimovie. It wasdirected byMani Ratnam. The movie was also released inTamil asUyire and inTelugu asPrema Tho. It starsShahrukh Khan,Manisha Koirala, andPreity Zinta.Mani Ratnam also wrote thescreenplay for the movie. It wasproduced by Mani Ratnam andRam Gopal Varma along withShekar Kapur.

The movie was shot inJammu & Kashmir,Assam,Delhi and other parts ofIndia andBhutan over a period of 55 days. Itscinematography won aNational Film Award for cinematographerSantosh Sivan. The moviescore andsoundtrack werecomposed byA. R. Rahman. A. R. Rahman received aFilmfare Award for the music. The movie became the first Indian movie to reach the Top 10 in theUKBox Office Charts, when released in1998.[1]

Sypnopsis

Journalist Amar falls for a mysterious woman on an assignment, but she does not reciprocate his feelings. However, when Amar is about to get married, the woman shows up at his doorstep asking for help.
