David Byrne (/bɜːrn/; born 14 May 1952) is a Scottish-American singer-songwriter, record producer, actor, writer, music theorist, and filmmaker. He was a founding member and performer with the Americannew wave bandTalking Heads.
He has receivedAcademy,Grammy,Tony, andGolden Globe Awards. He has also been honored in theRock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Talking Heads.[1]
