Dasyuromorphia are a fair-sizedorder of some of the more unusualcarnivorous orinsectivorousmarsupials. They vary in appearance, fromrodent-like toshrew-like tocat-like todog-like. This order includes the ever-famousTasmanian devil. In this order, most of the marsupials have a pouch on the belly. However, some of the broad-footed marsupialmice have only folds ofskin instead of true pouches, and thenumbat lacks a pouch entirely.
