Darcy Tucker (born March 15, 1975 inCastor,Alberta) is aCanadian retiredice hockeywinger. Tucker played 16 seasons in theNational Hockey League (NHL). He played with theMontreal Canadiens,Tampa Bay Lightning,Toronto Maple Leafs andColorado Avalanche.
He was drafted 151st overall by theMontreal Canadiens in the 1993 NHL Entry draft. He became known inLong Island during the 2002 Stanley Cup playoffs after Tucker delivered a hip check toNew York Islanders' captainMichael Peca during game five of the first round. The hit blew out Peca'sMCL andACL on his left knee which ended his season and delayed his entry into the 2002–03 season. There was no penalty given out.[1]
Tucker retired from playing professional ice hockey on October 1, 2010.[2]
