Clive Owen (born 3 October 1964) is anEnglish actor. He won aGolden Globe and aBAFTA Award and was nominated for anAcademy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in thedrama movieCloser (2004). He also gained fame for his roles inClose My Eyes (1991),Croupier (1998),Sin City (2005),Derailed (2005)Inside Man (2006),Children of Men (2006), andThe International (2009). He is best known ontelevision for his leading role in theITV programChancer from 1990 to 1991.

Owen was born inCoventry,Warwickshire. He has been married to Sarah-Jane Fenton since 1995. They have two daughters, Hannah and Eve.^[1] He is a supporter of thefootball clubLiverpool.^[2]
