Charles Robert Knox (April 27, 1932 – May 12, 2018) was anAmerican football coach at the high school, college and professional levels. He was best known as head coach of threeNational Football League (NFL) teams, theLos Angeles Rams (twice),Seattle Seahawks, andBuffalo Bills.[1] He was born in thePittsburgh suburb ofSewickley, Pennsylvania.
Knox retired with a mark of 186 wins, 147 losses and 1 tie record, which at the time of his retirement was sixth all-time in wins.
Knox died ofdementia on May 12, 2018 at the age of 86.[2][3]
