Castle Rock Entertainment is anAmericanmovie andtelevision company. It was founded in 1987. It is a part ofTime Warner'sWarner Bros.Rob Reiner, Alan Horn, Andrew Scheinman, Martin Shafer and Glenn Padnick founded the company.

Reiner named the company after the fictionalMaine town used inStephen King stories.

In August 1993, theTurner Broadcasting System agreed to join with Castle Rock, along withNew Line Cinema.[1] The sale was completed on December 22, 1993.

Castle Rock became a division ofWarner Bros. in 1996.
