Caroline Lucas (born 9 December 1960)[1] is aBritish politician. She is the currentMember of Parliament (MP) forBrighton Pavilion.[2] She was the leader of theGreen Party of England and Wales from September 2008 to September 2012. She was later co-leader of the party withJonathan Bartley from September 2016 to September 2018. She is the UK's first ever Green MP. She was firstelected as an MP in theUnited Kingdom general election, 2010 and then re-elected in2015 and again in2017.[3]
