Carol Arthur (bornCarol Arata, August 4, 1935– November 1, 2020) was an American actress. She was known for appearing in many comedy movies produced byMel Brooks. Arthur was born inHackensack, New Jersey. Her career began in 1971 and she retired in 2004. Her best known role was as Harriet Johnson inBlazing Saddles (1974).
Arthur was married to actorDom DeLuise from 1965 until his death in 2009. They had three sons who also became actors:Peter,Michael andDavid.
Arthur died on November 1, 2020 at a retirement center inLos Angeles fromAlzheimer's disease-related problems, aged 85.[1]
