Cabbage (Brassica oleracea Capitata Group) is anedibleplant. It is a lot likebroccoli,cauliflower orBrussels sprouts. Cabbage is eaten in many ways around the world.Coleslaw andsauerkraut are popular foods that use cabbage. It is also used to makekimchi[1] andborscht, and can also be used insalads. Red cabbage juice can be used as apH indicator. Cabbages are usuallygreen, but they can also bered.[2]

Cabbages can come in many different types, such as the previously mentioned red and green cabbages, but they can also be in other types. These includewhite cabbage, also known asDutch cabbage, and Savoy cabbage.
