Bruno Kreisky (January 22,1911 –July 29,1990) served asChancellor of Austria from1970 to1983. He is remembered in Austria as one of the people who helped shape theAustrian State Treaty. This treaty is the foundation of modern-day Austria. It was signed in1955.

Kreisky was ofJewish descent.[1] He was born and died inVienna.
