Bottom quark

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bottom quarks orbeauty quarks are the second mostmassive of theelementary particles (particles that are so small that they can not be divided any more). Allquarks are elementary particles. Bottom quarks have acharge of -1/3, similar todown quarks. Although bottom quarks are not very common, they are found in particles such asB mesons, among others. All bottom quarks willdecay intocharm quarks orup quarks in about 10–12, due toweak force.
