Bohemia is one of the regions of theCzech Republic.Poland is to the north,Germany to the west,Austria to the south, and the Czech province ofMoravia to the east. Thecapital city ofPrague is in Bohemia.

Bohemia is well known for itsglasswares and otherhandicrafts, itsbeer and itscuisine.

During theMiddle Ages, Bohemia was sometimes an independent duchy orkingdom. In1526, it came under control of theHouse of Habsburg. AfterAustria-Hungary was defeated duringWorld War I, Bohemia became part ofCzechoslovakia.
