Robert "Bob" Chapek (born 21 August 1960) is anAmericanmedia executiveofficer andbusinessman. He was theChief Executive Officer (CEO) ofThe Walt Disney Company from 2020 to 2022. Before becoming CEO on February 25, 2020, he was the Chairman ofDisney Parks, Experiences and Products.[1][2]

Chapek worked forH. J. Heinz and in advertising forJ. Walter Thompson before joiningThe Walt Disney Company in 1993.[3]

Chapek was appointed as the president ofDisney Consumer Products in September 2011.[4] On February 23, 2015, Chapek was named chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts effective that day to replaceThomas O. Staggs.[5][6]

In February 2020, Chapek was named chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company.[7] He was dismissed from the position on November 20, 2022 and succeeded by his predecessor,Bob Iger.[8]
