Robert Gilliland Beckel[1] (November 15, 1948 – February 21, 2022) was an Americanpolitical analyst andpundit. He was a former analyst and commentator onFox News. He co-hostedThe Five until he was released in 2015. Beckel later became a commentator forCNN. In 2017, he returned toFox News as a co-host ofThe Five.[2] A few months later, he was fired after he was accused of making a racist comment against an employee.[3]

Beckel died on February 21, 2022, at the age of 73.[4]
