Bergen is the second largest city andmunicipality inNorway. The city has a population of 275,000 in the municipality, and 238,098 in theurban area. Bergen was acounty until1972, when it was merged withHordaland. The oldwharfBryggen is aWorld Heritage Site.

Bergen is on the west coast of Norway, and itexports a lot offish. It has atemperateoceanic climate, with highrainfall every month.
