Basappa Danappa Jattipronunciation (help·info) (10 September 1913 – 7 June 2002) was an Indian politician. He was the fifthVice President of India from 1974 to 1979. He was ActingPresident of India from 11 February to 25 July 1977.[2] He was a member of theIndian National Congress. Jatti was born inSavalagi,Bombay Presidency,British India.
Jatti died on 7 June 2002 inBangalore,Karnataka,India fromkidney cancer at the age of 88.[3]
