AstraZeneca plc (/ˌæstrəˈzɛnəkə/) is aBritish–Swedishmultinationalpharmaceutical andbiopharmaceutical company with its headquarters inCambridge, England.[1] It is registered in London, United Kingdom. AstraZeneca Plc was formed in 1999 by merging the Swedish Astra AB and the British Zeneca Ltd. Drugs produced by the company are sold in more than 100 countries. More than 57 thousand people work for the company. AstraZeneca'sfactories are in 20 countries. Sales in 2012 amounted to almost 28 billion dollars.

Pascal Soriot was the best-paidFTSEchief executive in 2022, with a total package of £15.3 million.

Theshare price has risen about 80% in the past five years.[2]

AstraZeneca creates treatments forcancer,cardiovascular,gastrointestinal, infection,neuroscience,respiratory andinflammation.[3]
