Anthony Davis, Jr. (born March 11, 1993) is anAmerican professionalbasketball player. He plays for theDallas Mavericks of theNational Basketball Association (NBA). He has also played for theNew Orleans Hornets / Pelicans andLos Angeles Lakers. He playspower forward andcenter.

On February 2, 2025, the Lakers traded Davis along withMax Christie and a 2029 first-round pick to theDallas Mavericks in exchange forLuka Dončić,Maxi Kleber andMarkieff Morris.Jalen Hood-Schifino and a 2025 second-round pick were also traded to theUtah Jazz. The Jazz also received a 2025 second-round pick from the Mavericks.^[1] It is considered to be one of the most unexpected trades in NBA history.^[2]
