Anne Buydens (bornHannelore Marx, 23 April 1919 – 29 April 2021) was a German-born Belgian-American actress, philanthropist, and producer. She was a member of theInternational Best Dressed List, beginning in 1970.[2][3]
Buydens married actorKirk Douglas in 1954. They had two children.
Both Kirk Douglas and Buydens were behind the establishment of "Harry's Haven", anAlzheimer's disease unit at the Motion Picture & Television Fund Home in Woodland Hills. It is named after Kirk Douglas's father. The couple was known for their effort to rebuild playgrounds in theLos Angeles Unified School District.
Buydens died at her home inBeverly Hills, California on 29 April 2021, one week after her 102nd birthday.[4]
