Ang Lee (born 23 October 1954) is aTaiwanesemovie director. He has directed movies likeEat Drink Man Woman,Sense and Sensibility,Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,Hulk andBrokeback Mountain. He has wonAcademy Awards (Oscars) forBrokeback Mountain and 'Life of Pi'.

Biography

Ang Lee was born in 1954 in a town called Chaozhou,Pingtung,Taiwan[1] He went to theNational Tainan First Senior High School where his father was theprincipal, and then to the National Arts School. Hegraduated in 1975. In 1979, he went to theUnited States and studied theater at theUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He got hisMaster's degree atNew York University, and he worked there with another famous director calledSpike Lee.
