TheAnatinae is a subfamily of the familyAnatidae that includingswans,geese andducks.

They are thedabbling ducks. They feed mainly at the surface rather than by diving. The subfamily contains only the dabbling ducks and one relative, theextinct moa-nalos, land ducks which lived on someHawaiian islands.^[1]
