Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin (Russian:Александр Гельевич Дугин; born 7 January 1962) is a Russianpolitical philosopher,[6][7]analyst, andstrategist. He has been called afascist for his ideology.[8] He is also a well known supporter ofVladimir Putin,[9] although he has no official connections to theKremlin.[10] He has been called "Putin's brain" or "Putin'sRasputin" by the media.[11] He is also known for being an important person around Russian'sforeign policy.[12]
