Aldosterone

Aldosterone is an importantsteroidhormone.[1][2] It keepssodium in thekidney,salivary glands,sweat glands, andcolon.

It plays a central role in thehomeostatic regulation ofblood pressure, plasmasodium (Na+), andpotassium (K+) levels. Indirectly, it influences water retention or loss,blood pressure and blood volume.
