Albedo

Percentage of reflected sun light in relation to various surface conditions of theEarth.

Thealbedo of an object is the extent to which itreflects light, more specifically light which comes from theSun. It is defined as the ratio of reflected to incidentelectromagnetic radiation. It is aunitless measure indicative of a surface's or body's diffusereflectivity. The word is derived fromalbus, aLatin word for "white".
