The2020 United States Census, known asCensus 2020, was the twenty-fourthUnited States Census. National Census Day was on April 1, 2020.[1]
In 2020, the United States population was 331,449,281, a 7.71% increase from the2010 Census.[2]
TheDepartment of Commerce announced in March 2018 that the 2020 Census will ask if individuals are United States citizens according to a request from theTrump administration.[3] 11 states (Connecticut,Delaware,Illinois,Massachusetts,New Jersey,New Mexico,Oregon,Pennsylvania,Rhode Island,Washington,California) have said they would sue to block the Trump administration's request.[4]
