Got the game years ago in a bundle but only now got around to playing it. I loved it! I especially liked the story and the multinational cast of main characters. The artstyle is also very unique and pretty. Played through the entire game on steam deck and didn't encounter any technical issues. Thanks a lot for creating this!
Amazing! Words can't express the beauty of this game. Great audio, visual arts and especially the story! If you're like me, and get emotionally tied to characters, you will love this. I loved the ending. Spent total of 15 hours, and I'm really happy that there are a lot of secrets for the map explorers. That was surely worth all the years of the development.
At the beginning, I was ready to abandon this game, but when the story started to change I realized this is not a typical soldier simulator.. This game is a lot more than what is shown on the screenshots and whatsoever!
Hola!
I finally finished the game!! I've been playing and replaying this game since 2020. I am so proud of everyone for finally releasing the full thing! And man was it a blast. I can see so much improvement, especially with the menu UI. That was a treat to see. It didn't feel like I was over encumbered with random crap I'll never use unlike the previous builds. The thing that stuck out the most to me is I somehow missed the NPC that gives you the quartz watch, unless they were removed (or never existed in the first place and I'm misremembering). Which is a shame to me and me alone since that item was the first bonus equipment you got. I always treated it as my lucky item through my runs, so imagine my surprise when it came up as an item for finishing a battle! ALSO I didn't know that one quest needed low morale until this full playthrough so I must've been awful at keeping morale up lmao. Again amazing game, definitely would suggest to people who like compelling stories, awesome graphics, and fun turn based combat. I wouldn't call it challenging since I did not lose a single fight, only had 3 characters down through full playthrough, and had spare revive/healing items by the end of the final boss fight. But all of that could be because I replayed the game every time a new chapter was released so knew the strats/boss tactics. Anyhow, excited to see if this title ever gets sequels/prequels and what the team plans for games in the future!!!
How can i migrate my save data from the old version to 1.0.0?
My old save is in “AppData/LocalLow/BURA” but the new version saves to “AppData/LocalLow/This I Dreamt”. Are the saves compatibles at all or i’ll have to replay the game?
Edit: Someone asked the same on thesteam forum
Hello there.I just wanted to say thank you for lowering the price for the switch.-release right on the release day, making it 5€ cheaper. Nice move. I actually pre-ordered the game full-price some days ago and feel a little bit cheated now. As I said: Nice ass move. It really makes me not to want to buy your next game. :(
Oh no, I'm sorry to read that! We'll continue looking for a fix. This is our bug report form:https://forms.gle/RCfQA4JRTCtHkUN7A
This game is absolutely fantastic, I've loved everything about it so far! I'm extremely excited to see how the plot will continue forward from here.
Just a few items of feedback, the game feels like it could use some quality of life adjustments. Showing your party's active buffs, being able to compare weapons when equipping, displaying % chances for random effects are some I noticed in terms of combat. Improved settings would also be greatly appreciated; a way to toggle sprinting is really needed because my fingers hurt from holding shift so long lol. A way to adjust dialogue speed and controls for ease of use would also be great.
These are just a few of the aspects which I feel need a little bit more polish, but these are also relatively easy to overlook considering how enchanting and real the story feels. My heart really goes out to the developers for this amazing and unique work.
I was incredibly surprised by the writing here, and the pixel assets are fine and do the job of giving you an environment to traverse but the hand-drawn art assets are top knotch. They're used infrequently but when they come up they really set the tone. Got this in the bundle for Ukraine and instead of getting bad writing I got an interesting story with somewhat clunky combat about someone wrapped up in a conspiracy thriller that takes them all across Europe running into difficulties with language barriers and different cultural customs while political drama unfolds all around you, and you're trying to piece it together.
The combat feels awkward, but its entirely forgivable since you spend so little time interacting with it. The game is simply not about that part, and it serves as a decent break from all the other stuff you generally get up too during the game. Recommend, but don't expect it to be a hype train of constant action. If you want an interesting story and great artwork this is for you.
Thanks for putting this in the bundle because otherwise I'd have never heard of it. Now to figure out when the next release is so I can keep playing it.
Hi there and thank you for your kind words! If you got the game through a bundle (Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, Bundle for Palestinian Aid, Bundle for Ukraine) it won't come with a Steam key. If you bought the game separately, there should be a "Claim Key" button right next to the Download button.
ever since i first played this game over a year ago, it's been stuck in my head. it's just so good -- the plot, the writing, the characters, the art. everything just comes together extremely effectively within the narrative. i found myself completely immersed in these characters and their lives and just ahh!! i genuinely have no words for how much i love this game and how excited i am to play it in full!
