The villainous Spider-Man ladies certainly have a lot to offer given their impressive skills and complicated backstories. Though some become eventual allies to the web slinger, others do not and continue being the best at what they do - even if it's wrong.

Monster

Carlie Cooper and Peter Parker used to date, butthey broke up when Carlie learned Peter's secret. In theSuperior Spider-Man: Goblin Nation, Carlie was the only one who knew that Doctor Octavius' mind was actually in Peter's body. She was later captured by Green Goblin and had the Goblin Formula sprayed on her.

She became a goblin named Monster and turned vicious, obeying Osborn and attacking Peter. She was somewhat able to control the formula's effects and was eventually cured. Though she wasn't a Goblin for long, she certainly showed just how deadly she could be as one.

Black Cat

Felicia Hardy is the infamous cat burglar, Black Cat and one of Peter Parker's on and off again girlfriends. The daughter of Walter Hardy and Black Fox's student, both of whom were world renowned thieves, she followed in their footsteps after some unpleasant experiences horribly traumatized her.

Felicia is Spider-Man's rival and love interest as Black Cat, though as expected, their interests are often in conflict due to her thieving and manipulative nature. She soon progresses to anti-hero status, choosing to aid people as a vigilante and helping Spider-Man from time to time.

Silver Sable

First introduced inAmazing Spider-Man #265, Silvija Sablinova is the founder of Silver Sable International. After witnessing her mother's death from a bombing in her home, she begged her father to train her in espionage and combat. She became a mercenary who leads the Wild Pack - a group of mercenaries who hunt down international criminals. Though it would seem that Sable's interests coincide with Spider-Man's, they can become rivals depending on the situation. Such as when she was after Black Fox and wanted him in custody, while Spider-Man wanted to let him go free once he returned some stolen jewels.

Wraith

Yuriko Watanabe comes from a law enforcement family and is a dedicated, "by the book" officer. Yuriko eventually earns the title of Captain and serves as Spider-Man's trusted liaison on the force, much like Commissioner Gordon is to Batman.

Her faith in the law is severely broken after she loses her mentor, Teddy Rangel and continues to constantly lose fellow officers. Disillusioned, she becomes the Wraith, a wall crawling murdering vigilante with tendrils that hunts criminals like Hammer-Head (as seen in theps4 Spider-Man game). Due to her murderous tendencies, Spider-Man is forced to go after her despite their previous allegiance.

White Rabbit

Lorina Dodson was born into a wealthy family, but felt sheltered and bored with her luxurious life. She found solace in Lewis Carroll'sAlice in Wonderland, choosing to base her whole crime theme on the book and its characters.

She loves to cause mayhem for no other reason, but for the fun of it. Though her original enemy was the equally silly hero, Frog-Man, Spider-Man would team up with him to capture her on multiple occasions. Though a gag villain, she found her worth as a villain by earning a spot on the all female version of the Sinister Six.

Scream

As a member of the Life Foundation,Donna Diego volunteered to host a symbiote, becoming the infamous Scream. When first becoming the newly bonded Scream, she attacked a mall and was confronted by Spider-Man. Though she was defeated by both Spider-Man and Venom, the tendril haired symbiote would later beg Venom to train her in using her symbiote, but he refused.

Donna then developed schizophrenia and murdered her sibling's hosts under the symbiote's influence, believing them to be evil. Though her cruel actions weren't Donna's fault, she still proves to be a dangerous villain as Scream.

Screwball

A relatively new villain, Screwball is a social media themed villain who posts her crimes online. Her true identity is unknown in the comics, though in the Marvel'sSpider-Man animated series, she turned out to be Liz Allan (Peter's crush in High School).

Perhaps her most memorable appearance to date is her role in the PS4Spider-Man game, where she proves to be skilled in parkour, leaping from building to building to escape Spider-Man. A social media monger, she will do anything for views and subscribers, even kidnap people to play games with Spider-Man as he attempts to rescue them.

Janice Lincoln (The Beetle/Lady Beetle)

The daughter of the mob criminal tombstone, Janice had a relatively normal life and was raised by her mother, who was an ex-girlfriend of Tombstone's. The apple didn't fall far from the tree though, as not long after graduating law school, Janice wanted a more thrilling life.

One day she came across Baron Zemo and The Fixer, and the two provided her with the infamous Beetle suit. She eventually led her own all female incarnation of the Sinister Six called the Sinister Syndicate. A villain through and through, she loves the thrill of gaining respect through crime.

Lady Octopus

Despitethe popularity thatSpider-Verse's Doctor Olivia Octavius garnered, Carolyn Trainer is the actual Lady Ock from the comics. She is a former student and fan of Doctor Otto Octavius. After he was killed by Kaine Parker's Scarlet Spider, she donned a set of tentacles and took on the mantle of Doc Ock to honor him.

Growing jealous of the father-son like relationship between Ben Reilly and her father, she chose to attack the Spider-Man clone. In true Doc Ock fashion, the villainous Lady Ock claims that she holds scientific achievement above human life.

Shriek

Frances Barrison is perhaps the most vicious of Spider-Man's female villains. She was raised in an abusive home and is a mutant with powers of acoustikinesis, dark empathy, and telekinesis. She lost her sanity after being shot in the head by a police officer and was temporarily trapped in the Dark Dimension by Cloak.

InMaximum Carnage, she certainly earned her title as a villain as she used her powers to insert dark thoughts in people, such as forcing mothers to kill their children and having mobs of people attack Spider-Man.
