Disney's Emmy nominated animated series Amphibia returns for season 3 this fall with a host of talented guest stars. Disney Television Animation held a panel during Comic-Con@Home, this year's digital version of San Diego Comic-Con, for Amphibia and The Owl House. They also released a clip from the premiere episode of the upcoming series, The Ghost and Molly McGee.
Amphibia tells the story of Anne (voiced by Brenda Song), a 13-year-old girl who steals a mysterious music box that transports her to a wild tropical island. There she meets a family of frogs who take her in, the Plantars: Sprig (Justin Felbinger), Polly (Amanda Leighton), and Hop Pop (Bill Farmer). Through her adventures in the land of Amphibia, Anne learns what it means to be a hero and discovers her first real friendships. Season 2 saw the group on a quest to uncover the mystery of the music box and trying to find a way to get Anne home.

Screen Rant can exclusively reveal season 3 of Amphibia will premiere on Saturday, October 2 at 9:30 AM EST on Disney Channel andDisneyNOW with a special extended-length episode, and we have an exclusive first look at theAmphibia Comic-Con 2021 clip. The third season will see Anne and the Plantars transported from Amphibia to her hometown of Los Angeles where the frog family will have to learn about the modern world and try to find a way home - all while hiding their identities as talking frog people.

Guest stars for the season include Whoopi Goldberg (The Stand), RuPaul Charles (RuPaul's Drag Race), Kate Micucci (Steven Universe), Brad Garrett (Christopher Robin), and Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog). Season 3 will also include a 22-minute Christmas special featuring a song written by Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe).
Fans will see an exclusive look at Amphibia season 3 during theComic-Con@Home panel. Creators and stars from both series were in attendance including creators/executive producers Matt Braly (Amphibia) and Dana Terrace (The Owl House), art director Ricky Cometa (The Owl House), Amphibia voice actors Song, Felbinger, Farmer, and Leighton along with The Owl House talent Wendie Malick (Eda), Sarah-Nicole Robles (Luz), and Mae Whitman (Amity).

A clip from the first episode of The Ghost and Molly McGee was also revealed. The buddy-comedy is about tween optimist Molly (Ashly Burch) and her unlikely friendship with Scatch (Dana Snyder), a grumpy ghost. This new series also premieres in October.
