Mangifera is agenus oflouerin plants in thecashew faimily,Anacardiaceae. It contains approximately 69 species, wi the best-kent bein the CommonMango (Mangifera indica). The centre o diversity is insubtropical antropicalsootheast Asie, while the heichest nummer o species occur in theMalay Peninsula,Borneo, anSumatra. Thay are generallycanopytrees in lawlandrainforests, reachin a hicht o 30–40 m (98–131 ft).[2]
