The Literary Moons
Uranus has28 known moons, including five major moons: Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon.
The moons are sometimes called the "literary moons" because they are named for Shakespearean characters, along with a couple of the moons being named for characters from the works of Alexander Pope.
The mostrecently discovered moon was first spotted in November 2023. It's currently designated at S/2023 U1, and will eventually be named for a literary character like the other moons of Uranus.
