Oof my friend. Starting your game off with a difficult boss before any chance to test out the combat and get a feel for it is a bold choice. Even darksouls 3 which starts with Gundyr as a first boss has you fight a few weak enemies on the way. Difficulty isn't bad but you're going to lose a lot of players if you don't let them get a feel for the gameplay before having to grind through a boss battle. I don't know if the demo is the start of the game or if you cut some tutorial from it to keep it short, but I'd hate to see what looks like a unique and interesting game with a lot of love put into it lose its player base in the first 10 minutes.
Into Samomor – A Psychological Horror Where Every Kill Changes the Story!
Big thanks to the developers for creating such a unique and chilling experience!Into Samomor is a masterpiece, The story, choices, and atmosphere are so immersive. Can’t wait to see where this game goes next – keep up the amazing work!
SPOILER:
for anyone wondering I figured out the parasites second phase pattern:
first top middle.
top left
top right
then to your position.
top right again.
then twice to your position.
and repeat.
so best chance to attack with swarm once the parasite starts the 3 fixed position attacks.
or, if youa re quick enough, when it does the singular top right attack.
but keep in mind that the grounded swarm takes a while and a position based attack might come before you can move away.
Also, for first phase, i just stood in the bottom right corner, waited for the spike pattern to show and like a second or so later moved a bit to the top left. and hit with swrm knife to the right when the ghost was miving up again. about 4 damge each hit. gets easy to do without taking much or any damge once you got the rythm down.
Also, not sure what I messed up.
but I got to the demo's end, replayed while keeping the equipment.
anyways, in the dna screen, I somehowmanaged to get an empty slot "equipped".
(the forth one in the first row on the left)
now no matter what slot I am on and press E, nothing happens.
cant "unequip" that empty slot, also cant equip the swarm slot on the right.
must have messed up something.
which makes thing ugly for me since my strategy for parasite second phase is based exclusively on the grounded swarm attack... :-D
I took some inspiration from Google images and each person hold arrows differently. I don't keep the original reference image anymore but I've find new ones that share the same holding pose. I've never used a bow before so I don't know which one is correct or whatever. 😬
About the later issue. Does this one look better? https://x.com/sanghendrix96/status/1838523376421474727

I think it may look a little off because the arrow usually rests on smth (the ref you have has a special hold thing but the art version doesn't) so you may want to try putting the arrow resting on the index finger. A lot of times people wrap their index finger around/on the arrow to keep it in place next to the bow while they draw so you could try that too. Another thing is the perspective for the stance you're using makes the bowstring look relatively straight instead of bent due to resistance. Maybe tilting the bow/hold to be more vertical (the knuckles more perpendicular to the ground like in the ref) could help? Of course there's lots of different bow holds/styles and I'm definitely not an expert so don't take this too seriously lol
side note: Everything looks super amazing and I'm really excited to play!
This is a really fun game and I enjoyed it. The first boss fight gave me a bit of the dark souls feel to it. Keep it up.
Here's my channel for other games I have played.https://www.youtube.com/@Levont
no no. i was referring to the single monster which you can choose to fight at the end of the demo. the second stage with the blades coming from both sides was too hard for me and i was wondering weather anyone else had managed to beat him considering it's optional. i never met whatever you're referring to. great game btw. much love from europe and thank you for the replies
I have started playing this and have gotten a bit into the forest, will be finishing this but not today though! I have some early notes for you:
- Music, sfx and visual art are pretty much perfect, its so good I feel jealous.
- Story seems to be well thought out and interesting.
- The theme and mood is great.
- The dog is a good dog.
- Combat feels really good.
Now for some constructive feedback:
- You really need to have someone look over the English translation, while it gets the points across the text feels clunky and unnatural, even more so the dialogue.
- The standard rpgmaker emotion balloons do not fit with the rest of the exemplary good artstyle.
- The loading of text into the textboxes needs to be looked over, at least in the english version. Sometimes a single letter will be left over for the next box and often the text is being cut in a weird way.
Bugs:
- Door in first scene is misaligned.
- Graphical glitching on the sofa in first scene.
- Friend in first scene disappears if you talk to him from below.
- I entered the kitchen before I was supposed to and the game crashed. Tried it one more time and it worked.
- You can get stuck in the "invisible wall" in the forest and lock your game.
- Talkbubble was still active in parasiteboss.
- Talkbubbles appear next to characters in first scene even when you cant talk to them.
Looking forward to continuing my playthrough tomorrow!
Got an error immediately after starting the game, right after confirming the difficulty.
Error
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'resolution' of null.
This pops up in my game too sometimes when i dev in rpgmaker, usually if I am trying to switch between showing something too quickly (frames) or if something like a soundeffect has been added but not defined. I will see if the browser version works for me. My computer is pure shit, so it might not be a problem on your end.
