スマートウォッチ「Google Pixel Watch・Watch 2・Watch 3」に2025年3月分のソフトウェア更新が提供開始！

既報通り、Googleは5日（現地時間）、スマートフォン（スマホ）など向けプラットフォーム「
Android」やスマートウォッチ向け「
Wear OS」などにおける月次セキュリティーパッチの2025年3月分を告示しました。また同社は5日（現地時間）、これらの2025年3月分のセキュリティーパッチを含むソフトウェア更新を「
Made by Google」として「
Pixel」ブランドで展開しているスマートウォッチ「
Pixel Watch」シリーズに対して2025年3月5日（水）に提供開始したとお知らせしています。
さらにGoogleは17日、これらのPixel Watchシリーズに対する2025年3月分のソフトウェア更新を日本向け製品についても2025年3月17日（月）に提供開始したと案内しています。ソフトウェア更新はネットワーク経由（OTA）によって行われ、今後1週間に渡って段階的に提供され、対象機種は「
Pixel Watch 3」および「
Pixel Watch 2」、「
Pixel Watch」です。
変更点はセキュリティーアップデートのほか、新たに最新のWear OS 5.1へのOSバージョンアップが行われ、さらにすでに
紹介しているようにPixelブランドのスマホ・タブレット・スマートウォッチ向けの新機能「Pixel Feature Drop」の2025年3月分も含まれており、歩数の機能強化や月経周期のサポート、メディア コントロールのアップグレード、睡眠検知モードの拡張などが行われているということです。
更新後のビルド番号は日本向け製品を含めたすべての製品でPixel Watch 3およびPixel Watch 2が「BP1A.250305.019.W3」、Pixel Watchが「BP1A.250305.019.W2」となるとのことで、ソフトバンクでは更新の完了まで最大30分程度かかる場合があると案内しています。なお、GoogleではPixel Watchシリーズへの次回のソフトウェア更新が2025年6月になるとしています。
Pixel WatchシリーズはGoogleが自社ブランドで投入しているPixelブランドにおけるWear OSを搭載したスマートウォッチで、2022年10月にPixel Watch、2023年10月にPixel Watch 2、2024年9月にPixel Watch 3が発売されました。発売時にはPixel Watch 3がWear OS 5、Pixel Watch 2がWear OS 4、Pixel WatchがWear OS 3.5をプリインストールしており、その後、Pixel WatchおよびPixel Watch 2はそれぞれWear OS 5までOSバージョンアップを含むソフトウェア更新が提供されていました。
今回、これらのPixel Watchシリーズに最新のWear OS 5.1へのOSバージョンアップを含むソフトウェア更新が2025年3月分のセキュリティーアップデートに合わせて提供開始されました。Pixel Watchシリーズのソフトウェア更新の方法は「設定」→「システム」→「システムアップデート」を選んで画面の指示に従って行います。ビルド番号はPixel WatchまたはPixel Watch 2にて「設定」→「システム」→「デバイス情報」→「バージョン」にて確認可能です。
セキュリティーアップデートについてはAndroidに関する脆弱性以外にもWear OSやPixel Watchに基づく脆弱性も修正されているとし、CVEに登録されている脆弱性としてWear OSではSystem関連の「CVE-2025-22414」や「CVE-2025-22415」、Pixel WatchではSoC関連の「CVE-2024-56191」や「CVE-2024-56192」、Qualcomm関連の「CVE-2024-43057」や「CVE-2024-38426」について修正されているとしています。
またGoogleが案内しているPixel Watchシリーズの2025年3月分における変更点は以下の通りとのこと。なお、ソフトウェア更新の提供期限についてはPixel Watchが発売日から3年間となる2025年10月まで、Pixel Watch 2が発売日から3年間となる2026年10月まで、Pixel Watch 3が発売日から3年間となる2027年9月までとなっています。
What’s Included
The software update includes an upgrade to Wear OS 5.1, including new features, bug fixes, and performance updates. Some key enhancements present within this release include:
- Loss of Pulse Detection: US expansion
Loss of Pulse Detection on Pixel Watch 3 recently received U.S. FDA clearance, expanding this first-of-its-kind feature to people in the U.S. beginning at the end of this month.

- Menstrual Health Support:
Available via Playstore update for the Pixel Watch 3, the Fitbit app now makes it more convenient than ever to track your menstrual cycle. You can easily log periods, view your current cycle status, and see predictions for your next period.
- Media Controls Upgrade
Make it easier to control audio content from the watch with control types based on content being played (such as Podcasts within YouTube music).
- Step Count Enhancements
Within this release we have updated our steps algorithm to take our step tracking to a new level by focusing on precision even in challenging situations. Whether you're pushing a shopping cart, navigating in a wheelchair, or going on walk/run with a stroller, this improved algorithm ensures your steps are counted with exceptional accuracy.

- Expansion of Auto Bed-Time Mode on Device
Auto Bedtime detects when users are asleep or have awaken and automatically controls bedtime mode on their watch.

Device Applicability
Applicable updates are available for all supported Pixel Watch 1, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Watch 3 devices.
