When the infamous detective Dale Vandermeer wakes up in an ominous room without any recollection of his past, he soon finds himself part of a bizarre game orchestrated by an old foe. Dale must solve increasingly challenging puzzles to escape the room and recover his memories.

Paradox - A Rusty Lake Film
Paradox: A Rusty Lake Film will be released together with the accompanying game: Cube Escape: Paradox. In this unique crossover you follow detective Dale Vandermeer who needs to escape the room in parallel universes. Both game and the short film will be connected in various ways: find secret symbols, unlock multiple endings and above all experience the same room in different ways.

Controls:
Click on the arrows and drag to navigate around the environment. Some objects you can drag. Interact with people and objects by clicking. Select found items in your inventory and click somewhere on screen to use them.
Extra info:
For all players who experience a small glitch, please try the Reset level option in settings first. If you experience any trouble you can try again. If the reset doesn't work, let us know (by email: info@rustylake.com) so we can fix the glitch in the update!
If you buy chapter 2, please install the new package en play from that build.
The save game is filed in your Documents so it will remain the same. However, if we release an update please make a back-up of your save data before updating to a new version.
- Windows users: hit the .exe file to install the game.
- Mac users: if you get the error App is Broken, please check the Read Me file.

I love this series so much!!! These games are so distinct and unique. It's the perfect combination of mysterious and surreal that scratches my brain in a very pleasing way. The puzzles can take a while to figure out, but it's so satisfying once you finally fit the pieces together. The art is so cool and I love the convoluted symbolism that is used in the game. It makes interpreting the overarching story so much fun!
Great game in a series of them !! An exciting mix of surreal puzzle solving and exciting logic chains that perfectly pace play. I feel like it's one of the best puzzle games for establishing and maintaining an internal logic that's just as entertaining to learn as it is to succeed at. I do have a small question: I purchased yesterday (itch says one day ago so that might count as longer) for $2.00 USD, and the page says that for paying over $1.49 USD I should have chapter two, but it isn't available in my downloads. Am I missing something?
Hey, just checking if there's anything going on with the Windows file? I tried launching and it just sticks there blinking rapidly on what I guess is the intro screen where Rusty Lake types out over the landscape. I can't get past that into the actual game. Reinstalling didn't help. Am I missing something?
Hello! Must I say that this game was an absolute blast to play! I went into it expecting nothing but a mediocre indie game, But, I can safely say that my false judgements were pleasantly thrown back at me and crushed . . . I loved the game and would reccommend it to anyone who would like to play it! I am Looking forward to more in the future, and goodluck in your future projects!
