Research at the University of Tennessee

University of Tennessee research encompasses programs on the flagship campus inKnoxville as well as initiatives of theInstitute of Agriculture, theInstitute for Public Service, theHealth Science Center in Memphis, and theSpace Institute in Tullahoma.

TheUniversity of Tennessee at Chattanooga and theUniversity of Tennessee at Martin also are active in research and other sponsored programs that provide strong regional impact.

The university has collaborative relationships with public agencies and private organizations includingOak Ridge National Laboratory, Battelle Memorial Institute (formingUT-Battelle), Volkswagen Group of America, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the Memphis Biotech Foundation.
