    Help

Hi everyone. So in my bedroom I have an Apple TV and HomePod stereo pair. During normal hours, I use e-arc audio pass through on the HomePods to get a better sound experience. I’m also one of those freaks who needs to sleep with the tv on, so when it comes time to go to sleep I toggle off e-arc and audio to the HomePods to play the sound at a low volume over my television speakers. Is there anyway to accomplish this with a shortcut? It’s just kinda a PITA to constantly have to switch back and forth each night and morning. Thank you

    r/shortcuts Rules

Content without any significant commentary relevant to the Shortcuts app and related features may be removed.

Do not include links in your posts or shortcuts to places that violate copyright law, such as torrent sites or free streaming sites.

You should only useImgur,Gfycat, or Reddit to host media, such as screenshots, GIFs, and videos. See rules #5 and #7 for information on how to share links to shortcuts.

If what you want to say is not civil, please do not post it at all. Along with this, please keep your posts and comments appropriate for all levels and types of users.

All posts marked with the 'shortcut' flair must have a link. This can be the URL of a link post, or in the body of a text post. Comments are allowed as well, but the first two options are preferred. See rule #7 for information on which types of shortcut links are allowed.

All posts marked with the 'shortcut' flair must have an explanation of the shared shortcut. This can be in the body of a text post or in a comment on a link post. Shortcuts that maliciously conceal the purpose of high-risk actions (such as send message) violate this rule.

To ensure safety and authenticity of shared shortcuts, we ask that all shared shortcuts use aniCloud link orRoutineHub link.

Make sure to share the original link if it is not your own shortcut you are sharing. Regenerating a link for someone else's work makes it hard to know if it was modified in some way, and it also doesn't gain their shortcut another download (shortcut sharing site).

When setting your post flair, consider the options before setting it:

If you are sharing a shortcut, then choose 'Shortcut Sharing'.

If you need help, use 'Help'. Please also be sure to set the post flair to 'Solved' when your request or help item has been resolved. This helps to reduce the number of posts that end up in the 'Help' and 'Request' filters.

The 'Request' flair is for requesting someone make the shortcut for you.

If you are sharing a tip or guide, use the 'Tip/Guide' flair.

When sharing a shortcut with someone, make sure it is your own work or if it is someone else's work, share the original shortcut link or relevant shortcut sharing site link for users to get the original copy from the source.

Doing this eliminates possibility of getting a modified shortcut that is not the intent of the original author.

If you're developing a shortcut, post it when it's ready, nobody really wants to see a post teasing a shortcut.

Crossposts are automatically filtered for review by the mod team.

When seeking help, please title the post with what you’re needing help with so that other users that may be looking for the same help you’re seeking can search the sub and find your post.
