Joel Brind is a professor at Baruch College, City University of New York and aanti-abortion advocate, best known for pushing thediscredited link between abortion and breast cancer. After he published a meta-analysis in 1996 which was sharply criticized,[1] he has preferred to push this link via his organization, "The Breast Cancer Prevention Institute". Also, he seems to be anIDiot, as evidenced by the presence of his name on theDiscovery Institute'sA Scientific Dissent from Darwinism list.[2]

Lecturing[edit]

Since 1992, Dr. Brind has written and lectured extensively on hispseudoscientific claim about a connection between abortion and breast cancer, having been invited todiscuss his claims on news programs ofmajor television and radio networks, includingCNN, CBS,CBC,NPR, and ABC, as well as writing articles for newspapers (theNYT andWall Street Journal) and magazines (Time, Newsweek, and US News and World Report).[3]
