Non-materialist neuroscience is areactionary,anti-science movement - likecreationism andintelligent design. Rather than offering ahypothesis that might lead topredictions andexperiments, it simplycatalogs things modern neuroscience supposedly cannot yet explain.

Computational modeling and non-invasive imaging of livingbrains have allowed researchers to begin describing how complex thought emerges from the firing patterns of neurons. Modernneuroscience is rapidly reducing much ofhuman thought, emotion and behavior into component pieces of neuronal interactions.

Whenmaterialist causes become bothnecessary and sufficient to explain all of human thought thenparsimony will dictate throwing out references to asoul or to othersupernatural entities. In a way, neuroscience is the death knell ofdualism.
