Hi there!
I'm Rakudajin (IRL Igor), an indie game artist and anthropologist. I perceive game-making as an expressive art, and I want to use game mechanics and meta-narratives as my main means of artistic expression.
Video games have always been my most persistent passion, and I believe they have a potential that other conventional media (like texts and videos) don't have - they explicitly have YOU in there. In other words, when you play a game, you are not a third-person observer but rather a first-person participant. When you play a game - you get closer to "walking in other person's shoes" than when you read or watch how they "walk," even if just because you press the "walk" button.
Besides that, I am very much into game mechanics. I like inventing new mechanics and finding ways to turn them into video game experiences.
I'm working on three kinds of games:
1) Meta-narrative games
2) Ethnographic games
3) Mechanic-driven fun games (especially for Jams)
