Broadway Media Acquires Simmons Salt Lake City

Broadway Media Simmons Dell Loy Hansen U92 KUUU X96 KXRK 101.5 KEGA Mix 107.9 KUDD Rewind 100.7 KYMV 700 KALLDell Loy Hansen’s Broadway Media has agreed to purchase most of the assets of Simmons Media.

Broadway Media, which began operating the stations via LMA on October 1, 2013 will acquire Rhythmic CHR “U92” 92.5 KUUU, Alternative “X96” 96.3 KXRK, Variety Hits “Rewind 100.7” KYMV, Country “Eagle 101.5” KEGA, and CHR “Mix 107.9” KUDD in the Salt Lake City market and Oldies 940 KMER and AC “K107.3” KAOX Kemmerer, WY and associated boosters for $11 Million. Broadway will also acquire the Humpy Peak tower site from Simmons for $2 Million.

Among the provisions in the sale, if the current lessee of 960 KOVO Provo does not exercise its option to acquire the station by December 31, it too will be transferred to Broadway. Otherwise its purchase price will be reduced from the total paid by Broadway Media to Simmons.

Dell Loy Hansen already owns Sports “ESPN 700” KALL in the Salt Lake City market.
