1Consider an arbitrary Clifford circuit, terminating in a last layer of$T$ gates. Is it possible to construct a$T$ gadget using post selection in this setup?
If we have$T$ gates in the beginning, then it is easy to create$T$ gadgets using postselection, like in this paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/1601.07601). However, what happens if we end with a layer of$T$?
- 1$\begingroup$In some way this is precisely how non-Clifford gates are implemented in measurement based computation.$\endgroup$Norbert Schuch– Norbert Schuch2025-07-26 09:43:21 +00:00CommentedJul 26 at 9:43
